USA Field Hockey announced a change to the Junior Olympics pathway back in at the end of March.

Previously, selections for Junior Olympics (JOs) were evaluated from the NEXUS Championship, meaning that athletes needed to be selected to NEXUS Championships to be eligible for JOs. This year, they separated the pathway, making the selection to JOs come directly from the NEXUS Regional Selection camps instead, and athletes are only eligible to compete in one of the two events - NEXUS Championships or JOs.

With the change in pathway going into effect for the first time this year, the selection process of JOs is very interesting this year. Let’s take a look at the selections!
